Hospital do Mar and the way dementia is treated at this Luz Saúde specialized care unit were the subject of a reportage broadcasted on January 8, on SIC, on the occasion of Channel SIC Notícias 15 th anniversary. Manuel Caldas de Almeida, clinical director and executive manager of Hospital do Mar, gave a live interview for program «Edição da Manhã», where he talked about dementia diagnosis and treatment, the difficulties that dementia caregivers face daily, and also the scarce offer of homes prepared to receive and treat people with dementia. In the reportage later aired on «Primeiro Jornal», Helena Bárrios, assistant clinical director at Hospital da Luz, Ana Cristina Santos, neuropsychologist, and Vera Pinto, occupational therapist talked about dementia and treatment strategies in use at this hospital.
