The Hospital da Luz network now offers a transportation service to ease access to their hospitals and clinics throughout Mainland Portugal, providing comfort and safety. This service is designed to meet various situations where hospital transportation may be necessary: visits to Urgent Care, returning home after hospitalization, or for treatments, medical consultations, and exams. Emergency transportation: can be requested during contact and triage by LUZ 24 (217 104 424, national fixed-line call), if the team recommends a visit to the nearest Hospital da Luz Urgent Care. Post-Discharge Transport: for clients discharged after hospitalization who wish to return home. Outpatient transportation: Available for patients requiring transportation to consultations, exams, or treatments (including physical therapy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy). Booking is required at least 1 day and up to 7 days in advance via 217 104 400 (national landline call). Hospital da Luz’s transportation can be provided in a VDTD (vehicle for patient transport) or a Type A ambulance, determined at the time of request and based on the patient's autonomy levels.
