The last issue of IESS Beatriz Ângelo featured an article on the Hospital do Mar, showing why this unit in the Luz Saúde Group is the only geriatric and rehabilitation hospital in Portugal. The Hospital do Mar is organized around patients' needs and not clinical specialties. For this reason every geriatric, palliative or rehabilitation patient is treated based on an individual care plan drawn up by multidisciplinary teams and designed with quality of life in mind.
